April 12, 1954: Bill Haley and His Comets record ‘Rock Around the Clock,’ widely considered the first rock ‘n’ roll song to go No. 1.
April 11, 1981: Eddie Van Halen weds Valerie Bertinelli. They will split after 24 years together.
April 10, 1992: Just six days after his marriage to Malika Souiri, Sam Kinison is killed near the Arizona-California border when a drunk driver hits his Trans-Am.
