Technical presentations are made easy with this clever system management tool published by SysInternals. If you ever come across presentations with application illustrations where screens are zoomed to show the smaller parts of the window, then surely it’s ZoomIt doing the job. ZoomIt is a desktop zoom tool, a draw tool and a countdown timer all in one.
Created by Mark Russinovich, ZoomIt serves as a screen zoom and annotation tool that allows users to zoom their desktops. It likewise include a draw tool where you can sketch on your screen whether zoomed or not, and a meeting break timer to countdown until a break is up. ZoomIt is handy and practical to use. It works discreetly in the tray and can be activated with configurable hotkeys. It is definitely a tool suited for presenters which meets their demonstration needs.
ZoomIt lets you get acquainted by showing a configuration dialog once you run the ware. It demonstrates ZoomIt’s actions and permits you to customize keys for the zooming, drawing and timer tool. After toggling Zoomit you can zoom in using the mouse scroll wheel or the up and down keyboard toggle keys. Closing the zoom mode works by pressing Escape or the right mouse button. As soon as you have zoomed, you can put on the drawing mode with the left mouse button, and easily erase what you scribbled by pressing Escape. If you want to exit drawing mode, just press the right mouse button. You can enter the drawing mode without zoom by using the hotkey you specify. Another feature of the drawing mode tool allows you to modify the pen color from red, green, blue, or yellow. You can also change the pen width by selecting left-Control and using the wheel mouse. For the timing option, you can add or decrease the time with up and down arrow keys. This timing feature can be very useful as a meeting organizer. What’s more, if you are doing documents you can also gain advantage from this easy zoom and draw options, by enabling you to copy the screen to the clipboard using the PrintScrn button. It may be easier doing that than using a tool to markup the screenshot after taking it.
ZoomIt is just one of the many ingenious system implements from SysInternals. This tool works on all versions of Windows. It does not have requirements for download nor contain adware or spyware. You can download it free! Indeed, ZoomIt is zuper!
