Remembering Ethan Willoughby (1976-2007)

The music industry was shocked by the news that a Grammy-award nominated audio mix and engineer, Ethan Willoughby was hit by a car last February 18, 2007 at about 4:15 am on the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks. A week after his tragic death, the whole music world still mourns with his lost. He is 30.
Ethan is a trusted audio mix and engineer who had worked with various artists such as Busta Rhymes, Common, the Game, Rolling Stones, Macy Gray and the Black Eyed Peas. Born and raised in Evansville, Wisconsin, Ethan started his music career as an assistant under his mentor, Dave Pensado at the Enterprise Studio in North Hollywood, CA. He also had the chance to work with some of world renowned artists that includes Brian McKnight, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Lionel Ritchie and Destiny’s Child. Ethan Willoughby’s work on FutureSex/LoveSounds earned him a 2007 Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
Ethan’s life has been filled with the best music and became more meaningful with the people he met. Indeed, his one of the million precious gems that God shared to us and made a significant mark in the music industry. For his family, friends and the music he loved most, Ethan lived a good life.
He’s now at peace with our creator.
