Carrie Underwood Ready For Her New Album

With her highly successful debut album, “Some Hearts” (a certified quintuple platinum by RIAA for 5 million copies shipped), American Idol star Carrie Underwood is now set for her sophomore effort. She plans to go straight to the recording studio after the February 12 Grammy Awards Night. (Receiving her first Grammy nominations as “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” and “Best New Artist”). Confirming the new album with her interview at CMA Awards ni November 6, 2006, “There are definitely a lot of things in the works, and one of them is definitely a new album.” On her exclusive interview with Billboard, Carrie Underwood said, “We’re getting songs together and writing stuff in the next couple of weeks, because I didn’t really want to jump into anything until we knew what direction we were going in”
Looking forward to her new album, Carrie Underwood hopes that her new album will do half as well as her debut. She also plans on touring on a few dates “to keep everybody busy and to keep me fresh in people’s minds. But other than that, your guess is as good as mine.” Talk about busy.
Carrie Underwood is best remembered as the winner of American Idol season 4 and through her chart-topping single, “Jesus, Take The Wheel” where she’s now dubbed as the most successful “Idol” next to Kelly Clarkson.
