A directory of Music 2.0 sites

Along with the growing trend of Web 2.0, it is clearly seen the rise of other 2.0 web-based ideas and one good example of it is the Music 2.0. Well… I don’t have much idea of it but I believe that a simple step up from what we can call “Music 1.0” to Music 2.0 would mean another mile of success to the music industry.
I just read a post of Paul Lamere that talks about creating a comprehensive directory of music 2.0 sites. I agree that putting each music site into the right category is one great idea. The WWW is a big resource of information and having all these sites categorized is another easy and exciting way to surf the net but can be a sweating job. Though collating all the sites and making informative description is no joke, it is definitely something to look forward to. If all music sites will take their part to help, there’s no doubt that music lovers will gain a comprehensive and truly rewarding directory in no time.

While I applaud Jason’s effort here - I never really liked wikis all that much. I have created Rocketsurgeon’s Music 2.0 Directory using blog tools . This approach has some benefits including category browsing, user comments, user ratings, and more. There are already over 200 entries in the directory. Check it out at:
